Recycled Altoid Tin for Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog

Here's my project for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog: Save the Earth which was to make a project using at least one recycled item. A recyled Altoid tin makes a great photo album.  I'm going to put pics of my 9 grandchildren on the accordian fold cardstock.  I then want to create a list of the kid's names and their birthdates to help me remember and put it on the inside cover.  Products used:
Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art (tree and hearts) and A Child's Year (girl with kite) Cricut cartridges
Stampin' Up DP (Welcome Neighbor) to cover the top and inside, Chocolate chip and Whisper White CS
Ribbon from my stash was wrapped around the other exposed outside areas.

Spotlight on Designer Paper

The challenge on Lily Pad Cards is to use designer paper. I love designer paper. It inspires and delights me. So....yes I do hoard it. But since I have so much, that's kind of silly. This card uses Stampin' Up Paisley Petals DP in two shades of Tangerine Tango and Old Olive.

Other Details (Stampin' Up unless noted):
Ink: Tangerine Tango, Old Olive
Stamps: Flower Fest, Flight of the Butterfly (sentiment)
Punches: Scallop circle, Butterfly, Five Petal Flower, 1/2" circle, 6 Petal Flower, Owl (tiny circle), Martha Stewart Pansy Border.

Fantabulous Cricut Label Challenge #59

Fantabulous Cricut's challenge this week was to use a label other than a plain circle. The MS Birthday Cake Art cartridge is filled with all kinds of ideas for frames, banners, phrases, fonts and other shapes. Used this frame (pg 50) as a label and combined it with Stampin' Up DP Beau Chateau and Whisper White CS. Embellishments include Cotton Candy Stickles and teardrop rhinestones. The phrase is also from the same cart. I don't use the Cake Art carts for baking. But they work great for cards and layouts.

Grateful for Forever Friends

Friends ForeverI am blessed to still have contact with some friends from my high school days.  Although we don’t live in the same town anymore, we still make a point of keeping in touch and manage to see each other several times a year. This card is for one of those friends who is having a birthday soon.  Detail:  CS:  Stampin’ Up Marina Mist, Soft Suede.  DP is SU Beau Chateau. Punches used are SU butterfly punch and scalloped edge punch. The sentiment, Friends Forever, was cut from the Cricut Spring Fever cartridge.  Background butterflies were stamped with SU Marina Mist using a Martha Stewart Create collection.
